SuperData says that this is due to dipping popularity of Fortnite, which saw its all-time peak in player spending at the end of 2018. Though PC saw a small single-figure percentage decline in revenue, console cash declined by a whopping 25 per cent compared with December 2018. That's according to research firm SuperData, which reports that overall digital spending on video games rose by eight per cent globally to reach an all-time high of $9.8bn for the month.
